Weekdays

The causeway follows the rhythm of two countries' commutes at once, which is why it jams in both directions at similar times:

• Before 6am — typically the lightest traffic of the day, in either direction.
• 6am–9am — the worst stretch heading into Singapore, as Johor-based workers commute in.
• 10:30am–3:30pm — usually the calmest window during the day, in both directions.
